Back in action

Hora de re-estabelecer a existencia desse blog na minha vida. Muita coisa aconteceu desde que fechei o jogo 'Edinburgo' e reinstalei o jogo 'Rio de Janeiro'. Fundei, junto com Felipe Duarte, o ESTUDIO PIRA, nosso núcleo de design terrorista,  também carinhosamente chamado de 'Palácio de Perversões Criativas'; e desde entao tem sido uma jornada intensa que tem nos trazido oportunidades de conhecer muita gente e de trabalhar em projetos dos mais variados.

Mais a respeito do que estamos tramando no decorrer do tempo.
Por agora, jogo pro mundo essa ilustraçao feita para um Press Kit do Curso Clio, um curso que prepara diplomatas em todo territorio nacional.

Never Too Late

Been ages since last post.
June has been a very eventful month, and i think its just preparing me for the chaos of July!



Here`s another piece of motion graphics i did a while back as a motion-tracking exercise.
I`ve showcased it along some other stuff at my degree show, which ends tomorrow so if you`re in Edinburgh and havent checked it out yet i definitely recommend it.

Idiographic

So here's one of the animations ive been workin on in the past few months. It's a diptych (made for a dual-screen setup) so i recommend putting it on full screen to get a better idea.
Ill post up some of the other animations soon enough.

Art of Nurture

Great news!
Last Tuesday i had the honour of having my artwork chosen among the Scottish finalists at this years Art of Nurture contest by LloydsTSB Commercial Finance. Very exciting! April will see me in London competing for the national prize, wish me luck!

Nothing to be afraid of

Here`s a couple of stills from a little animated typographic experiment i did over the weekend. The quote is from a very short book called The Politics of Experience by R.D.Laing:

We are afraid to approach the fathomless and bottomless groundlessness of everything.
“There's nothing to be afraid of.” The ultimate reassurance, and the ultimate terror.
